Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a veteran in the fashion space with a deep-rooted passion for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of refining my expertise in Paris, fashion’s epicenter and collaborating with some of the most visionary designers in the world. That experience taught me to recognize exceptional quality, innovative design, and timeless appeal. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that perfectly combines a pre-worn character with refined construction and premium materials. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to offer you expert insights with advice shaped by my industry experience. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how star sneakers they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m diving into a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as how to grab them for less, in the sections below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, have a scroll through my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where can I find Golden Goose sneakers?
I found mine on discount via Cettire and bought them that way!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast – definitely a bonus
How much do they cost?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They required minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is a better idea. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Where did you purchase them?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
How expensive are they?
When I bought my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their uniqueness.
Are they true to size?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since my feet get sweaty. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
